HOUSTON.— Una persona muerta y al menos 14 heridos fue el saldo de un tiroteo en Baytown, según el alguacil del condado Harris, Ed González, quien lo confirmó en su cuenta de Twitter.

Los hechos ocurrieron cerca de las 6:40 pm de este domingo en la cuadra 1400 de North Market Loop donde una mujer estaba realizando una vigilia por su hijo, quien fue asesinado en su casa hace un par de días.
El sheriff agregó que tres heridos están en estado crítico y se encuentra hospitalizados. Los demás recibieron heridas no fatales.
Según ABC, el tiroteo ocurrió durante la ceremonia de vigilia, en la que se encontraban cerca de 50 personas, cuando un desconocido comenzó a disparar desde un automóvil.

Todas las víctimas fueron trasladadas al Hospital Metodista Baytown de Houston. Los agentes dicen que están trabajando en la recopilación de la información sobre el presunto responsable.
